In 1967, Italian designer Glancarlo Piretti designed the Plia Folding Chair, which is a combination of a ball jointed chain, three original metal pieces, glass and stainless steel, making the chair only 5 cm thick after folding. Even today, more than 50 years later, the design still amazes me.
