about German sup beech wood

When it comes to beechwood furniture, many may immediately think of traditional furniture with reflective panels and bulky designs…

The beechwood furniture available in the market often lacks details about the quality of the wood, coupled with the use of inferior paint finishes and rough polishing, resulting in a shiny but textureless appearance.

However, high-quality beechwood boasts exceptional hardness, a fresh colour tone, and attractive grain patterns. When crafted with skilled techniques, it transforms into durable furniture that seamlessly fits into various home styles.

About Craftsmanship

When crafting furniture, smoothness relies on manual polishing by skilled woodworkers, progressing from 240 grit to 320 grit, 400 grit, 600 grit, and up to 1000 grit. Both sides are polished, and only after passing rigorous quality inspection can the process proceed

Relying on Pure Manual Polishing

Although time-consuming and labor-intensive, it ensures a delicate touch while preserving the natural wood grain.

To isolate wood from air contact, we use AkzoNobel coatings imported from the Netherlands, preserving the essence of the wood without damaging its texture and color. This is our sincere commitment.

Reducing the Cracking Rate with Large Board Direct Splicing

The probability of a whole piece of solid wood cracking in furniture use is 99%. Therefore, we cut the whole wood board and use large board direct splicing to reduce the cracking rate. This method minimizes surface unevenness, warping, and cracking deformation due to the smaller anisotropy of each board.

Highest Grade Drying to Reduce Cracking Rate

High moisture content in wood can lead to mold, cracking, and deformation. To further reduce the cracking rate, wood moisture content must be strictly controlled. Currently, local drying technology is not mature enough, with wood dried locally having a moisture content of only 13%-15%, which can easily result in wood cracking and deformation.

LOCAL RATE AROUND 13%-15%

The beechwood we use comes from Pollmeier forest, and all products have PEFC certification: PEFC/04-31-0545. The boards undergo 168 hours of kiln drying, reducing the drying moisture content to 6-9%, avoiding dampness, mold, and reducing the probability of wood cracking and deformation.

OUR STANDARD AROUND 6%-9%

We use the standard drying moisture content of approximately 6%-9%, and before packaging, we conduct another moisture content test. Once it passes, we affix a quality inspection label. We pay extra attention, giving you extra peace of mind.

Of course, for solid wood, regardless of the craftsmanship we use to reduce the cracking rate, cracking may still occur. However, you don’t need to worry; we offer a 3-year warranty. If you have any issues, you can contact us.

What are the Advantages of German Beechwood?

1. Fresh and Elegant Tones:

Beechwood has a soft and warm color tone, creating an artistic atmosphere even when paired with simple white walls. It is particularly suitable for a modern Japanese-style natural wood aesthetic. Beechwood has a uniform texture, clear, and delicate grain, with few defects such as knots.

2. Good Toughness and High Density:

Beechwood is sturdy, durable, and impact-resistant. It has good toughness in steam and can be shaped into various forms. Due to its high density, beechwood is heavier than most woods, but the weight difference from white oak, which also has high density, is not significant.

3. Excellent Corrosion Resistance:

Furniture made from beechwood is shipped worldwide to various environments. Beechwood’s excellent corrosion resistance allows it to adapt well to different conditions. However, beechwood has a high water absorption, so furniture made from it should not be placed in extremely humid places, as prolonged exposure to moisture can cause the wood to expand and rot.
